Some Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs)

By Michael Olugbode‬

‪The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Borno state on Sunday told politicians in the state that mass theft of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) will count for nothing.‬
There has been an exchange of allegations by the two major parties, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that PVCs were stolen or bought off card holders.  ‬
‪Prof. Tukur Sa'ad, the Borno INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) told journalists in Maiduguri, that the alleged theft was unnecessary.‬
‪He explained that stealing or hijacking PVCs will not give advantage to any political party during the elections.‬
‪He said: "Well, I have not heard the information on the alleged stealing or hijacking of PVCs by politicians in Borno. But if that is true, it is an exercise in futility."
