The Bayern Munich boss is set to take over at the Etihad Stadium in the
summer and has made the Atheltic Bilbao defender & Borussia Dortmund
midfielder his primary targets
Pep Guardiola has already begun planning for life at Manchester City and is eyeing up a double summer deal, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The
former Barcelona boss is set to leave Bayern Munich this summer before
joining City, and he has informed the hierarchy at the Etihad Stadium he
wants to sign Athletic Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte and Borussia
Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
Barcelona remain in pole
position to sign Laporte but Guardiola is hopeful he can persuade him to
move to England while Gundogan is wanted by Juventus.
But
Guardiola will not try to sign Thiago Alcantara from Bayern this year,
though he could return for the midfielder in the 2017-18 season once he
has gained more experience.
