Cristiano Ronaldo gives Nani his Silver Boot after Portugal's Euro 2016 final success

Portugal's forward and captain Cristiano Ronaldo (C) raises the Euro 2016 football championship trophy next to Portugal's coach Fernando Santos (R) and Portugal's forward Nani (2nd-R) as they prepare to leave the team's base camp in Marcoussis to fly to Portugal on July 11, 2016, a day after Portugal won the UEFA Euro 2016 football tournament.

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani celebrate
Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to watch Portugal's Euro 2016 success from the sidelines after limping out of the final.
It was left to Nani to guide them to glory at the Parc des Princes as they edged out hosts France thanks to Eder's extra-time winner.
Ronaldo played a major role in getting Portugal to the final after contributing three goals and the same number of assists.
He was beaten to top spot in the scoring charts by Antoine Griezmann, who netted six times for France.
However, Ronaldo was the one celebrating at full-time after Eder's strike sealed a first tournament win for Portugal.

The Real Madrid megastar was awarded the Silver Boot for his exploits, but showed his gratitude to Nani for getting them over the line by handing him the prize instead.
Nani wrote on his Instagram: "More than a captain you're a champion! Thanks for the gift! Let's go Portugal we are the Champions!"
Speaking after the game on Sunday evening Ronaldo revealed just how much finally achieving success with his national team meant to him.
